A local law firm with far-reaching capabilities
Offering reliable, expert advice in such areas as property, family law, wills and probate, workplace law and litigation, we build longstanding relationships with our clients as their trusted, supportive and good value law firm.
Stephen Shepperson studied Law at London Metropolitan University and was admitted in 1979, following his period of Articles with a prominent firm in Southampton. He then spent just over three years with a Brighton-based firm at their Steyning office, dealing mostly with property matters. A move to Horley in January 1983, to open and run a branch office for the firm of McLeish & Co of Dorking, led to a Partnership with Stuart McLeish the following year. When the Dorking office was sold, Stephen continued to practise under his own name and in 1987 he was joined in partnership by Sally Gandon.
Over the last 30 years, Sheppersons has grown to take on more aspects of business law and family law. Two more offices have been opened in Reigate and Leatherhead. The firm continues to grow with fully qualified lawyers and legal executives covering all areas of work except criminal law.
Situated within easy reach of Gatwick, Heathrow, the M25 and London, we are well placed to serve the interests of businesses of all sizes, as well as tending to the individual legal needs of our local communities. We support community and charitable causes both financially and through active involvement.
Sheppersons is founded on the principles of outstanding legal expertise and the treatment of our clients as human beings. We pride ourselves on getting to know our clients well and look to forge long-standing relationships. Many provide us with repeat instructions and we have acted for generations of families.
Where necessary, we will suggest input is obtained from specialist barristers and other suitably qualified third party advisors. We have good relationships with many accountants, barristers, estate agents, bankers, surveyors and other professionals, both locally and further afield, and this adds depth to the service we are able to provide when support and collaboration are needed.
